We are committed to ensuring our schools are a living part of the community and contribute positively to its needs.
We engender love and tolerance between and for our staff, pupils, and others to foster an inspiring atmosphere of mutual support.
We do everything possible to provide a caring, safe, and secure place for our staff and pupils to be happy and respected in our schools so they may achieve their potential.
We acknowledge accountability and responsibility for our actions but ensure that we encourage each other to make brave decisions and then learn from any mistakes.
We are determined that our schools offer a place for the joy of learning, enabling those of all abilities to thrive and go on to lead rewarding lives.
At Elm CofE we are passionate about children’s learning and relish the challenge of guiding our children through life. Elm C of E Primary School is a popular school in the vibrant village of Elm Cambridgeshire, with 208 learners on roll. The culture of our school ensures that every child is known well and valued. We are a happy, ambitious and inclusive school reflecting the values of families in our area.
We offer a unique experience for the children, whilst always ensuring they are safe, happy and enjoying the richest learning opportunities. Of course skills in English and Maths are extremely important, but we also offer the primary knowledge curriculum giving children the bedrock of key knowledge to allow them to develop into successful learners. We have high expectations of the children in their conduct and learning behaviours and we are very proud of how well they reach those high standards.
Our talented and committed team of staff are aware that it is an absolute privilege to be educators. We want children excited about coming to school, to be purposefully immersed in an engaging knowledge driven curriculum that is relevant to their lives today and will carry them with confidence into the future.
The school works in close partnerships with parents and the community within and beyond the classroom. With the support of DEMAT and our Local Governing Body we work hard to meet the needs of individual children and secure high standards on our journey of improvement.
We are dedicated to positive well-being for all and the development of the child as a whole, allowing us to nurture each of our pupils so that they can thrive as individuals, becoming caring, articulate, respectful, well mannered and aspirational Global Citizens with the healthy habits necessary for a successful future. Our energetic and enthusiastic pupil voice, champions the rights of learners and strives, alongside our staff, to provide a better learning climate in the school.
We are very proud of our children and the people who help them learn and look forward to meeting and nurturing your child through the next phase of their life.
