Religious Education

"Inclusive, good-quality education is a foundation for dynamic and equitable societies" Desmond Tutu

The high quality Religious Education taught in Elm C of E Primary School is designed to support pupils’ religious literacy, leading to them being able to hold balanced and well-informed conversations and worldviews. Our pupils learn to make sense of religion and the worldviews around them, and begin to understand the complex world in which they live. Religious Education is primarily about enabling pupils to become freethinking, critical members of society, who can make well-informed judgements about matters of religion and belief which shape the world.

At Elm C of E Primary School we use a trust wide curriculum which meets the statutory requirements of the Locally Agreed Syllabus 2023-2028.
